Wanted Suspect Arrested for Felony and Misdemeanor
 Domestic Violence Charges

Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, responding to a domestic violence assault, located the wanted suspect and arrested him for felony and misdemeanor charges.

On May 26, 2025, at approximately 11:20 pm, Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported possible Domestic Violence situation in the 7000 block of N. Wall Street.  The caller stated a pregnant female appeared to be trying to get out of a red Ford Mustang, and a male, later identified as 41-year-old Dwight D. Lansdale, was hitting her.  Lansdale fled in the Mustang and was last seen going north on Wall Street.

Deputies arrived and spoke with the witnesses and the victim.  Deputies recognized the victim from previous domestic violence incidents where Lansdale had been arrested for violating a court-issued Domestic Violence No Contact Order.

The victim stated that she told Lansdale to let her out of the car several times, but he refused.  He also punched her numerous times during the assault, and Deputies observed injuries on the victim that were consistent with being assaulted.  The victim was provided medical attention at the scene but refused additional medical treatment.

Spokane Regional Emergency Communications (SREC) Officers advised Deputies that Lansdale had two confirmed misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.

Deputies also learned there was an active and served Domestic Violence No Contact Order protecting the victim from Lansdale.  The order prohibited Lansdale from causing, attempting to cause, or threatening to cause the victim bodily injury.  He was also forbidden from contacting the victim directly, indirectly, in person or through others, by phone, mail, electronic means, or from coming within 1000’ of the victim or her residence.

The witnesses observed Lansdale punching the victim numerous times and heard the victim screaming.

With probable cause established to arrest Lansdale for a felony domestic violence order violation, assault 4th degree (DV), unlawful imprisonment (DV), and his misdemeanor warrants, Deputies began searching for him.

Minutes later, a Deputy found Lansdale driving the Mustang into an apartment complex in the 13100 block of N. Addison.  During a traffic stop, Lansdale followed commands and was safely taken into custody.

After being advised of his rights, Lansdale agreed to answer questions.  He explained he was driving the victim home, per her request, when she became angry and started hitting him.  He claimed he stopped, let her out of the car, and then continued driving to his friend’s home.  When asked if he hit the victim, he said, “Not knowingly.” He tried to keep her from hitting him and blocked her punches, but he never intentionally hit her.  When asked about the victim’s injuries, he said he didn’t know and that she might have injured herself.  He refused to answer questions regarding the No Contact/Protection Order.

Lansdale was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for his two misdemeanor warrants, Felony DV Order Violation, Assault 4th Degree (DV), and Unlawful Imprisonment (DV).
