Fatal Motorcycle Crash on N. Milan Road in Chattaroy
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is investigating a deadly single-vehicle motorcycle crash in the 31000 block of N. Milan Road in Chattaroy. The adult male rider was severely injured and was transported to the hospital by Life Flight. Despite life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
On June 25, 2025, at approximately 6:30 pm, Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported injury crash in the 31000 block of N. Milan Road.
Good Samaritans, who came upon the scene, attempted life-saving measures until they were relieved by arriving medics and law enforcement.
Spokane County Fire District 4 Firefighters continued providing medical aid to the severely injured rider as Deputies began to investigate what caused this serious and potentially fatal collision.
Deputies checked the surrounding area but did not locate any other victims or vehicles related to the incident. During this search, they located an alcohol container near the crash.
The stretch of roadway was closed to all traffic with the assistance of SIRT Team Volunteers.
Due to the seriousness of this collision, Traffic Unit Investigators responded to continue the investigation.
Life Flight transported the adult male to a local area hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries.
Unfortunately, despite everyone’s life-saving efforts, the rider was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
At this early stage of the investigation, Investigators believe the motorcycle was traveling north on Milan Road in the 31000 block. It and the rider left the roadway, struck an embankment on the east shoulder, and came to rest in the center of the road.
With impairment a possibility, Deputies obtained a search warrant to gather a blood sample for later testing.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the decedent, along with his cause and manner of death, when appropriate.
Impairment and speed appear to be factors in this fatal crash.
